JARED G. DOKOVNA, ESQ., was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bio-Psychology. While at Skidmore College Jared Dokovna was Editor-in-Chief of the College newspaper, The Skidmore News.
Prior to law School Jared Dokovna worked for a Japanese Real Estate Firm that owned a building in Rockefeller Center, and at a large New York City Law firm as a paralegal defending a blue-chip company from class action law suits.
While attending Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, Jared Dokovna interned at both the Manhattan District Attorney's office and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
After law School Jared Dokovna worked for more than three years at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office as a Prosecutor. While at the State Attorney's office Jared Dokovna worked his way into the Career Criminal Unit where he was responsible for prosecuting some of Miami-Dade counties most formidable criminals. While at the State Attorney's Office he tried more than 40 cases and handled over 1,000 misdemeanor, traffic and felony cases.
Jared Dokovna left the State Attorney's Office in 2007 to start his own Criminal Defense Firm: Jared G. Dokovna, P.A.
